Happy 4th Birthday to My Princess

Cinderella and Rapunzel came to see the young princesses

Bryn blew that candle out probably 5 or six times before it stayed out

Brynlee's 4th Birthday was a great adventure for all of us.  I wanted her to be able to have her first friend party.  My sister-in-law has these amazing friends that dress up like the princesses for parties and other events.  I thought it would be awesome if the Princesses could come and visit Brynlee and her friends for her birthday.  The girls absolutely loved the Rapunzel themed birthday party complete with a visit from Rapunzel herself and her good friend Cinderella.  Aunt Brittany and Grandma Hatch did face paintings on the girls, then they decorated a crown, played pin the pan on Flinn Ryder and broke a pinata open.

We had Brynlee's birthday Party at the beginning of June so that her cousin Lilie could come.  Then we celebrated her birthday again on her birthday the 27th and 2 days after.  LUCKY GIRL.  This year I decided that I would make the kids cake batter pancakes for their birthday breakfast.  I have a hard time serving this kind of thing for breakfast so I added in my own healthy things to the batter...and they had no idea.  It tastes like cake to them.  Bryn loved the sprinkles, but only took one bite of her pancake and said she was full.  This is very typical of her sadly to say.

My next new adventure was the disaster cake.  I am not too much of a fan of making birthday cakes in the first place, but to save money, I made a double layer sheet cake.  Should be easy, Right???  WRONG!!  The top layer fell completely apart.  However, I would seriously freak out on any normal occasion, but all I could do was laugh.  Thanks to some mood stabilizing medication I take now and only because of that, I laughed my head off and took a picture and sent it to Ben.  He called immediately after he got the picture and asked what he could bring home to make it better or if I wanted him to make a new cake.  He was that worried that I was falling apart.  Bless his heart.  I LOVE that man!!!  He was shocked that I was laughing about it.  Well 4 cans of frosting later and with the help of the freezer.  The cake turned out okay.  I am just very very grateful to have my sweet Brynlee in our family.
