Number 1 party

Mouthful of cake

Chowed right in

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!"

Oh another baby to love

"Let me get into that"

Brynlee's birthday party. She seems all too thrilled. But eventually got the hang of the gift opening thing.

Happy Birthday Brynlee

On June 27, 2008, we were blessed with our little angel

From the first day home

She has been an absolute joy in our family.

We love our peanut baby so much. Her bubbly personality adds sooooo much to our family. We are so glad she joined our family and are so excited to watch her grow up.
Brynlee LOVES FOOD and is always hungry. She attacked her first birthday cake and freaked when we took her away from it before she got sick. When we asked her if it was good she nodded her head "yes" and when we asked her if she was done, she shook her head "no" She is communicating so well and acts like she understands what we are saying. Her new favorite thing is a baby doll we got for her 2 weeks early. She cries and cries if we take it away and will always look for it or go get it if we ask her where it is. So cute. She even lets me curl her hair and doesn't move. I love having my baby girl. She is so much fun.

As big as daddy

On Sunday I was putting Aiden down for his routine nap, when I gave him a kiss on the cheek. He tried to kiss me back on the lips and I explained to him that we only kiss on the cheeks. He calmly responded with "When I'm as big as daddy, can I kiss you on the lips and call you gorgeous?" So adorable! I told him when he was as big as daddy he wouldn't want to kiss his mommy on the lips. He said "Well I'll always call you gorgeous then, just like daddy."

Our life is NOT boring......

What would I ever do if I had a full time job outside my home? I would have no life between all the doctors, and hospital appointments with Aiden and Brynlee and a job. Being a mom lately is full time x 10. Our life is definitely not boring the last 6 months to a year. It is one thing or another with our two kids. We found out today, after taking Aiden to an Ear, Nose and throat doctor (as recommended by his allergist), that he has to have his tonsils and adenoids out and they will finally clip his tied tongue. Apparently he has had chronic infections and we had no idea. He has bad allergies and asthma and he would occasionally complain about a sore "neck" throat but would never say anything else about it. The doctor could instantly tell when Aiden talked that he sounded buffled and it was causing him to have a harder time breathing. (that and asthma are not a good mix) Poor kid. At least they are catching it now and not later. So on July 6th he will be eating all the popsicles he wants. I think my kids need a break and the parents as well....SIGH

Curly Sue

My first attempt at curling Brynlee's hair. I love having a girl!

Just a small update on our peanut. Bryn had some tests done at Primary Children's Medical Center to try and help determine why she was not gaining weight and sometimes losing. They did a Cystic Fibrosis test, Celiac disease test, a thyroid test, and a x-ray on her heart. After spending two days going back and fourth up there, they determined that everything came out negative. So she doesn't have CF, celiac, thyroid issues, or a heart problem. That is a relief. However, our doctor thinks she might have a malabsobtion problem. Meaning her body is not absorbing nutrients. If they can't figure out if that's the real reason and why, then she can slowly starve to death. So in the mean time, until they figure something out, we are suppose to keep her as healthy as possible. If she catches a stomach virus or anything like it, it can cause extreme havoc and she would be put in the hospital. All in all, she is doing very well. Her cast came off a week ago. She still crawls most the time like it is on. She knows where her nose is and other people's. She is very smart for a almost 12 month old, but is the size of a 6 month old. She still jumps between the mid 12 pound range to the high 12 pound range. I am hoping that she is just small like her mom and everything is good. That is my guess.

Two Peas in a POD (BOX)

"I want some apple too"

Brynlee was playing in this box while I was playing the piano and Aiden decided he wanted to join her. So funny
