Poor Baby..Does it ever end for her

Brynlee broke her leg yesterday. My little sister's friend stuck her on my sister's dresser and she fell off. I couldn't figure out why a perfectly happy baby was so winny and not crawling. She refused to put any weight on her leg, but sometimes she does that if I am holding her and she is tired. I honestly thought it was her teeth. I went to my mom's last night while ben put the rest of our stuff in storage. She cried anytime you moved her. I changed her diaper and she screamed, little did I know I was touching her leg right where it was broken. It just a looked a tad bit swollen and no discoloration. So after debating for a couple hours on whether to take her to the ER or just take her to Instanta Care in the morning, we decided to just wait till the morning. She cried most the night.

To top it all off, her blood sugars are running high and her skin has a yellow color to it. My mom and some of my siblings are the ones that brought it to my attention. I feed her such a variety of foods everyday that I know it is not due to too many yellow or orange foods. I decided to take her blood sugar last night after she has been acting so hungry and practically eating all day (but still losing weight). I was shocked that it was as high as it was. We took it again this morning and it was still high. As of monday she is a 1/2 pound less so the doctor scheduled her to see a specialist at Primary Children's Hospital. After telling our doctor's nurse about her elevated blood sugars and she said the yellow skin tone was obvious, the doctor is running blood tests. I really hope they find something and fix her soon. I feel bad for all the things she has gone through in her 10 months of life. She is still so happy and makes me smile.

Hey! I'm so sorry to hear about your little one's trials, definately not fair! What are her blood sugar readings? Our little Tanner was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 13 months, he had one sick baby up until then. Does Ben have Diabetes?

Poor baby girl! I'm so sorry to hear about her leg, but at least you took care of it and hopefully this will be the end of it. As for the other issues, we will pray. Hang in there, Star! Happy belated Mom's day! You're amazing! And I love you and miss you.
