My Birthday Girl

Look at those princess shoes. She finally has her own high heels. She has been wearing her mom's for months.

Lilie and Aiden laughing at Brynlee's reaction or lack of reaction.

BRYNLEE turned 2 on June 27. She wanted a Strawberry Shortcake themed party. She wasn't quite sure what to think of even the presents until she started opening them. She really didn't even seem to care what was in them. We got her a potty training baby to help encourage her (even though she is ready). This is her favorite toy so far.

Brynlee has been such a joy to our family the last 2 years. She has obviously grown both physically and intellectually. She finally hit 20 pounds about a month ago (and it's still the same). She is in the 10th percentile for her height. The doctors at Primary Children's still haven't figured out whats wrong with her gut. The last tests were inconclusive. She still has chronic diarrhea (now for a year), which seems to be bothering her more and more especially when she wants to wear big girl panties. She has been waking up at night for the last three weeks complaining that her "tenders" hurt, which she calls her tummy. I have my own opinions on the problem, but I am not a doctor.....and parents know nothing. LOL

Bryn LOVES to sing. Her favorite song right now is Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me. She will sing the entire song. She also loves to talk and act like her brother. She will say 8 word sentences as well as talk back to me, just like her brother. She takes a lot of crap from him but dishes a ton out to him herself. She is a very caring child. She can always tell when there is something wrong with one of us and tries to comfort the best she can. She loves to carrying on conversations with her babies and her favorite stuffed animal Minnie Mouse. It is so much fun to watch. I love watching the differences in growth between Aiden and Bryn. It definitely makes life so much more interesting and fun.

Brynlee's First Hair Cut

We decided to trim Brynlee's hair because it just wasn't growing on the sides very well. I read, plus I heard that trimming it or cutting it will make it come in thicker and grow faster. We will see if that really works. I remember when I cut Aiden's hair for the first time, it was really thin, then it came in super thick.
Most of the curl in Bryn's hair is natural but I did curl some pieces. I think it turned out super cute with the touch of some hair gel. Now we will wait for it to grow.

The World Through The Eyes of a 4 Year-Old

This is just a few of the many, many pictures Aiden took with Aunt Britt's camera. He had a blast taking pictures of everything. It was very interesting to see what he thought was important enough to take a picture. Aiden is very good about keeping his room clean and his bed made most of the time. He is very proud of his room....including the garbage can.

Easter Sunday

Like every year since Aiden was 2, we have always told him the story of Christ's Resurrection. This year I think he understood it a little bit better. We always have him watch the Living Scripture video "He is Risen" to help him understand. This year he actually paid attention. He asked questions the entire movie. I really want him to understand what Christ has done for us and that one day he will be resurrected too just like Jesus. He said he didn't want to be yet. We told him it wouldn't happen for a long time. He was cool with that.
Easter Egg Hunt and Grandma Rees' "mommers" house

Both kids ran all over and spilled their eggs multiple times. It was hilarious. This was Brynlee's first Easter egg hunt. She loved it.

Finished Project

Ben did a beautiful job on our TV console. We compromised and did it a two-tone color. The top is a African Mahogany stain. I absolutely love it. I just wanted it all black. Ben loves cherry wood. That is why the compromise. I think it turned out awesome. I am very proud of him.

Aiden's First Soccer Game

March 30 was Aiden's first soccer game. It's always funny to watch a bunch of 4 year olds run around, trip over each other, and kick the ball in the other team's goal net. Here is Aiden going for the kick.

It is ALWAYS super cold during his practices and games. May can't come fast enough for us.
