Easter Sunday

Like every year since Aiden was 2, we have always told him the story of Christ's Resurrection. This year I think he understood it a little bit better. We always have him watch the Living Scripture video "He is Risen" to help him understand. This year he actually paid attention. He asked questions the entire movie. I really want him to understand what Christ has done for us and that one day he will be resurrected too just like Jesus. He said he didn't want to be yet. We told him it wouldn't happen for a long time. He was cool with that.
Easter Egg Hunt and Grandma Rees' "mommers" house

Both kids ran all over and spilled their eggs multiple times. It was hilarious. This was Brynlee's first Easter egg hunt. She loved it.

Finished Project

Ben did a beautiful job on our TV console. We compromised and did it a two-tone color. The top is a African Mahogany stain. I absolutely love it. I just wanted it all black. Ben loves cherry wood. That is why the compromise. I think it turned out awesome. I am very proud of him.

Aiden's First Soccer Game

March 30 was Aiden's first soccer game. It's always funny to watch a bunch of 4 year olds run around, trip over each other, and kick the ball in the other team's goal net. Here is Aiden going for the kick.

It is ALWAYS super cold during his practices and games. May can't come fast enough for us.

Ben's First Wood Project

Despite my doubts, Ben has amazed me once again. He has never had a wood shop class in his life, nor has he ever built anything like this before let alone without instructions of some sort. He designed this T.V. console for us and drew the plans and this is it so far. We could not find a T.V. console for less then $500 so he decided to build one. We needed something with doors that Brynlee could not easily get into and put 5 dvd's in the playstation 3. Pictures of the final project will come very soon. I am so proud of my superman.

Happily Ever After

+

February 28, 2010 marks Ben and I's 7th anniversary. It has been a wonderful, trying 7 years together and I wouldn't change a moment of it for anything. Ben is the love of my life. I don't know what I would do with my life if I didn't have him. He loves me and our kids with all his heart and soul. Here are some of our engagement, bridals and wedding pictures. I hate our wedding pictures so I edited some of them, but I am glad I have them. Here are some things I love about him:
1. I love his smile
2. I love his gorgeous blue eyes
3. I love his patience
4. I love his dedication
5. I love his laid back personality
6. I love how smart he is
7. I love how strong he is
8. I love his dedication he has to his family
9. I love the way he loves his kids
10. I love the way he loves me

Super Star "mom this is herarious (hilarious)"

This is Aiden singing Avril Lavigne's "When Your Gone."
He asks to listen to this song every time we get in the car. Brynlee has now started chanting "song, song" as well. I personally am getting really sick of it, but it sure is darn cute how well he can sing the words.

Especially Me

I am such a lucky girl. This year Ben has been doing the 12 days of Valentines for me. It is both shocking and amazing. In the 7 years (at the end of the month) we have been married, I have done the 12 days of Valentines 3 times. If any of you know Ben, he is a very thoughtful person, but he doesn't have a romantic bone in his body (he will admit). He has made such an incredible effort this year to spice up our marriage. It really does make me happy to see the effort isn't just one-sided. I am so grateful for everything he does for me all time. He asks me at least 100 times a day if there is anything he can do for me. There is such love and compassion in his heart for me and his kids. WE are truly blessed to have him, especially ME.
